What is WomenConnected?
WomenConnected quietly works to improve the health and well-being of our community. Founded in 2000 by Andrea Bryant, Bev Chappie, Dorothy Heale and Betty Lou Tikalsky, WomenConnected offers members the opportunity to combine their donations and direct where the money goes. Each fall, WomenConnected awards grants to key programs and initiatives within ProHealth Care. Since forming, WomenConnected has granted over $1.85 million to support leading-edge technology, community-based programs, clinical education and research initiatives at ProHealth Care.
How does it work?
Each fall, ProHealth staff apply for grants from WomenConnected. The giving circle’s research and grants committee reviews applications, and then recommend grants to be approved by the full membership.
