Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder. It is best to see a physician about insomnia when the problem persists over a period of weeks, when it affects your quality of life, and when you start to worry about your sleep. The earlier you report the problem to your primary care physician or a sleep specialist, the sooner you can get back to normal sleep.
