Advanced practice nurse practitioner Jewel Schneider is accepting new family medicine patients at the ProHealth Medical Group clinic located within ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital-Mukwonago.Jewel Schneider, APNP

Nurse practitioners are advanced practice providers with advanced training that combines clinical expertise with an emphasis on disease prevention and wellness. They see patients of all ages as they diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, order and interpret diagnostic tests, manage chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and educate patients about health.

"My care philosophy is centered on building relationships with my patients to understand their total care needs," Schneider said. "With a focus on prevention, the whole person and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the patient and I work together to meet their wellness goals."

Schneider has been part of ProHealth’s urgent care team for four years and has 11 years of experience as a nursing professional. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Concordia University School of Nursing.

The ProHealth Medical Group clinic in Mukwonago is located inside ProHealth’s new hospital at 240 Maple Ave. If patients require procedures or hospitalization, they can be admitted to the Mukwonago hospital or ProHealth’s hospitals in Oconomowoc or Waukesha.
