Jacqueline Bergner, APNP, joins the internal medicine team at ProHealth Care’s Oconomowoc clinic
Advanced practice nurse practitioner Jacqueline Bergner is accepting new internal medicine patients at the ProHealth Medical Group clinic in Oconomowoc.
Nurse practitioners are advanced practice providers with advanced training that combines clinical expertise with an emphasis on disease prevention and wellness. They diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, order and interpret diagnostic tests, manage chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and educate patients about health.
Internal medicine providers provide primary care for people 18 and older. They are also trained to care for adults with multiple long-term health conditions.
“Understanding how patients perceive their health guides me in helping them achieve their most effective health outcomes,” said Jacqueline Bergner, APNP. “Together, we will create a plan to address their health conditions through prevention, medication management or therapies, allowing them to live a high quality life at every stage.”
Bergner earned her master’s degree in nursing from the Marquette University College of Nursing.
