ProHealth Medical Group welcomes sleep medicine physician Jose Pareja, MD

ProHealth Care has announced the addition of Jose Pareja, MD, to its sleep center in Delafield and the ProHealth Medical Group clinic in Mukwonago. Dr. Pareja is accepting new patients with sleep disorders. Patients can schedule consultations directly, without the need for a provider’s referral.

Dr. Pareja treats patients for a wide variety of sleep-related conditions and is particularly interested in diagnosing and treating obstructive and central sleep apnea, parasomnias, obesity-hypoventilation syndrome, and sleep issues involving cardiovascular disease.

Asked about his approach to patient care, Dr. Pareja said: “Patients do not go to consultations only in search of a cure for their illness. They also seek relief, comfort, understanding and support.”

Dr. Pareja is board-certified in family medicine. He earned his medical degree from Universidad del Norte Barranquilla in Colombia and is fluent in Spanish. He completed his residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University and his fellowship in sleep medicine at Stanford University in California.

ProHealth Care’s Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Its board-certified physicians and registered technologists diagnose and treat a wide range of disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, sleepwalking, REM behavior disorder and night terrors.

Dr. Pareja and his colleagues conduct thorough patient evaluations and may also use sleep studies, CPAP titration, multiple sleep latency testing, maintenance of wakefulness testing and other diagnostic studies to identify the cause of sleep disorders. Following diagnosis, providers discuss treatment options with patients and develop personalized care plans.

ProHealth Care's Sleep Center in Delafield is located at 2301 Sun Valley Drive. It is open six days a week and provides sleep studies for individuals who have varied schedules.

Dr. Pareja also sees patients for follow-up visits at the ProHealth Medical Group clinic at 240 Maple Ave. in Mukwonago.
