Start your weight loss journey with our caring team.
Obesity is a complex disease. ProHealth Care's weight management team will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan and set achievable goals to help you improve your health and well-being.
During the six-month weight management program, you will work with a nurse practitioner, registered dietitian and behavioral health therapist. You will participate in a mix of in-person and virtual visits, and individual and group sessions.
What is medical weight loss?
Medical weight loss helps you manage weight safely and effectively through nutrition, exercise and behavior change. Medical professionals will work with you to determine the causes of your weight gain, and help you follow a custom plan to achieve your wellness goals. If you are eligible, medication management may also be part of your treatment plan.
Why lose weight?
When you build healthy habits and maintain a weight that’s right for you, you can improve your overall health. If you carry excess weight, losing 7 to 10% of your current weight may improve your:

- Joint function and pain
- Sleep

Even losing 3 to 5% of your total weight can help lower your risk of developing several medical conditions.
