Gilberto Marquez, MD

Visits with Dr. Marquez always leave me with the reminder that health care is a business. His approach to dealing with any concern I had almost always resulted in something he could help with, but would not do unless I keep the health care money machine moving and potentially sacrifice my career. I've explained to Dr. Marquez several times that my work involves 90% travel. It is hard for me to know where I will be week to week. I had to use a week of vacation to make my last appointment because my job requires I be on site with customers Monday-Friday. Now I have wasted a week of vacation on a useless appointment. Any mention of my work situation are never acknowledged by Dr. Marquez. I am not asking for special treatment, just consideration. Instead a am disregarded and rushed out of the office. I think his ego is a contributing factor in all of this. There is only 1 way and it is his. If I try to explore other options or tell him why his recommendations can not work for me I am ignored. I still have a message to him in mychart that I have not gotten a reply from. I do like prohealth, but it may be time for me to seek a new php that isn't so difficult to work with.

Would have preferred to see my regular primary doc. This doc was just somewhat helpful to me (cuz he gave me the referral I needed) but he didn't seem to care very much nor offer any insight or advice about my sciatica issue that I didn't already know.

Got in early.

I was seen for neck pain resulting in headaches. I was disappointed that x-rays were not ordered.

I've only been using Dr. M. for a short time. I switch over when my other doctor retired. Dr. M. is the primary for my dad & son, so using Dr. M. was easy and good.
