While advancements in technology and tools continue to guide the treatment of cancer and prolong life, I believe the most important aspect of providing care is the patient, their family and the health care team that is formed around them. Dr. Hwang and his wife enjoy spending time together hiking, camping, sailing and exploring the outdoors. He plays Ultimate, a team sport played with a flying disc (originally known as ultimate Frisbee).

The attending nurse prior to meeting with the radiologist was thorough, kind, helpful, and answered all questions. The doctor was extremely informed with all my medical records and listened attentively to all my input and my daughter's, who came along with me for this visit. I felt very confident he would deliver the best care and would recommend him to anyone in need of his services. What was extremely helpful and what I was very thankful to have were the very thorough notes left on My Chart of my visit with the doctor. The only Issue I had was It took 11 days to get an appointment for the mapping I needed for my cancer, which I will have next week. But, then I am not sure how long it will take after the mapping to begin the chemo and radiation after this appointment. I am sure I will learn this at the appointment next week. But, this may also take more time. I am very anxious to get started on this because It has been sometime already since the diagnosis. The care was excellent....just the amount of time to begin treatments Is concerning to me.
