Cancer and its treatments can cause emotional and physical changes that affect how our cancer survivors feel about themselves. Over 66% of female survivors report worrying about their sexual function including body image, fertility, intimacy, loss of desire and pain. Sexual concerns impact a large population of women and there are many successful strategies that can help women who have been treated for cancer and their relationships. This session will discuss the effect cancer has on female sexual health and provide treatment options, and resources or referrals related to female sexual health concerns. Join Lori Seaborne, physician assistant and certified sexuality counselor, and support staff from the UW Health Cancer Center at ProHealth Care for a productive discussion.
