Support to help renew your strength and spirit
Facing a cancer diagnosis and enduring treatment can be daunting. ProHealth Care recognizes the need for support at every stage of the cancer journey and provides a number of options from diagnosis through survivorship.
At ProHealth Care, survivorship begins on the day of diagnosis. The survivorship program is designed to address overall health and well-being throughout every step of the cancer journey. Participants benefit from one-on-one appointments with cancer team members including a nurse practitioner, cancer rehabilitation specialist, cancer dietitian and cancer social worker. Participants also benefit from the camaraderie with other cancer survivors.
ProHealth Care works with Stillwater Cancer Support Services to offer support groups led by a professional counselor. The groups provide a regular, drop-in format to share experiences and learn from others.
Making Sense of Life After Cancer
This professionally-facilitated group focuses on helping post-treatment cancer patients answer the often asked “now what?” A variety of educational and survivorship topics will help you navigate issues like the long-term physical and emotional impact of treatment, returning to work, fear of recurrence and finding balance in one’s life.
