The information you need to improve the health of your workforce and bottom line 

It's well known that health care and benefit costs are among the most costly line items on your profit and loss statement. To help maintain and manage those costs, ProHealth occupational health services provides a comprehensive wellness package that may include components available in partnership with OneCommunity.com. The service offers a population health portal that connects your employees with a unique and innovative set of resources and tools to help them stay healthy. 

It all starts with employees completing a Personal Health ProfileTM and biometric screening. The results provide a clear picture of the key health risks present in your workforce so that you and your employees can take a proactive role in helping to improve overall wellness.

Once the health profiles of the workforce have been completed, reports are prepared for both your company and each employee. The information gathered helps identify actionable preventive measures that can help your employees remain healthy and productive. To engage and encourage employees to take proactive steps toward health, we offer wellness coaching, education programs and we can also help your company structure rewards or incentive programs. And, if you are wondering if your wellness initiatives will pay off, we also offer employers access to our online financial predictive modeling tool, HR Insight, to project potential costs and savings.    

Personal Health Profile

Through a secure, password protected portal, employees complete an online Personal Health ProfileTM. This profile is customizable based on your company's needs. It also includes participant access to an automated scheduling component for events, such as screenings or health seminars. 

Health Scoring

A health score is generated for each employee who completes the Personal Health ProfileTM and biometric screenings. The scoring is based on a proprietary formula that allows for comparison within the workforce, market and national averages. Employees immediately know where they stand on the health and wellness continuum and their health number can be tracked over time so they can see how their efforts are improving their health.

Five key components are used to calculate the My Health ScoreTM. Each component is assigned a value according to its influence on the total score. Each component also considers a number of factors that work together to determine a person's level of risk on a health-risk spectrum. Following are the components and their associated values:

Healthy behavior: 10%

  • Tobacco usage
  • Presence of depression symptoms
  • Stress level
  • Seat belt usage

Body composition: 30%

  • Body mass index
  • Waist circumference

Health status: 10%

  • Presence of diabetes
  • Presence of cardiovascular disease

Screening results: 30%

  • Blood pressure
  • Total cholesterol
  • High-density lipoprotein (HDL)
  • Low-density lipoprotein (LDL)
  • Triglycerides
  • Glucose

Preventive services: 20%

  • Established primary care provider
  • Recent physical exam
  • Prostate exam (men only)
  • Mammogram (women only)
  • Pap smear (women only)

My Health Score can be customized for a specific program. 

Personal Health Report

This customized health risk report informs employees of their personal health risks and details how they can achieve better health through specific lifestyle changes. The health report includes:

  • A detailed risk evaluation

  • Vital information explaining how the participant can achieve better health

  • Recommendations for reducing his or her health risks through specific lifestyle changes 

The report also:

  • Identifies and explains each health risk found and offers practical recommendations to improve individual health.

  • Identifies and explains areas of good health and offers practical recommendations and encouragement to maintain desirable results.

  • Compares an employee's current screening results to those in his or her previous report and speaks to the trended findings.

  • Communicates in an easy-to-understand text and includes full color visual aids, including charts, diagrams and other graphics.

 

This report can also be purchased as a printed booklet.

Workforce Health ProfileTM

The Workforce Health ProfileTM is a report that provides the employer with a picture of the health risks present in the participating employee population. For example, the summary report shows the percentage of employees who have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. Employers can use this data to help select workplace wellness programs that will be most beneficial for their employees. ProHealth staff will work with the employer to understand the report and start the wellness improvement planning process. 

HR InsightTM Financial Analysis

HR InsightTM is a web-based predictive modeling application that allows ProHealth Works to show employers the impact of health care claims on your company. The application provides:

  • Projected claims analysis that financially quantifies the claims expected in specific medical categories over the year based on the health of the workforce.

  • Potential claims savings that identify the specific medical areas where the company has the greatest opportunity to achieve savings.

  • Workforce modeling that examines several modifiable health characteristics that may result in health claims.

My Health ToolsTM

My Health ToolsTM provides a comprehensive set of helpful tools and resources to support employees' health goals and delivers targeted content that addresses each individual's risks and objectives. This content includes:

  • Health articles

  • Health trackers

  • Health links

My OpportunitiesTM

This highly flexible incentive-management program offers simplified tracking and management activities, including automated capabilities. My OpportunitiesTM ensures your incentive program runs smoothly for employees and program managers alike. All information presented to end-users appears in an easy-to-understand format. 

The program supports many types of incentives including those based on participation and/or tobacco use as well as results-based incentives. 

  • Rewards are a point-based or dollar-based incentive.

  • Healthy incentives are incentives linked to the participants health benefit. 

The five outcomes that make up a recommended My Opportunities plan include:

  • Participation

  • Tobacco Use

  • Cholesterol

  • Blood Pressure

  • Weight (BMI)
