Funding Guidelines for Community Support

ProHealth Care’s community funding is limited to not-for-profit organizations located within our primary service area.

Priority is given to initiatives that:

  • can improve the health and lifestyles of at-risk populations

  • have a track record of demonstrating value

  • are non-duplicated

  • center on preventive measures

ProHealth Care generally will not consider any funding requests that fall into the following categories:

  • Religious purposes

  • Political activities

  • Athletic or sports activities (individual or team)

  • International or social organizations

  • Endowments or memorials

  • Fraternal organizations, unless funds are for a specific activity that aligns with our funding priorities

  • Field trips or tours

  • Individuals or individual families

  • Requests from employees or others for financial support for their individual participation in a fundraising effort or event.

ProHealth Care receives a large number of requests for sponsorships, in-kind donations and staff involvement at community events and activities.  We can accommodate a limited number of these requests.

  • Requests must be submitted a minimum of three months prior to the date of the event.  We encourage a six month lead-time.

  • Requests are reviewed throughout the year.

  • ProHealth Care will respond to requests within four weeks of receipt.  Sponsorship funds will be distributed within three weeks after award notification.

  • An individual organization may not submit more than four requests in any year.

Funding awarded for a particular sponsorship in one year does not guarantee funding in subsequent years.  Submission of a request does not guarantee funding by ProHealth Care.
