ProHealth Care Promotes Healing Through Local Art

Blending creativity and healing in public spaces

 Mosiac

Mosaics adorn walls in the patient registration area at ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial Hospital, created by Dousman artist Laura Harris.

The walls and outdoor spaces of many public and clinical areas of ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial Hospital are graced with local creations thanks to the help of the Waukesha West End Artists Group.

West End Artists features more than 150 artists and artisans in the City of Waukesha and the surrounding communities who are dedicated to supporting the arts and committed to the esthetic enhancement of our community. The partnership is a demonstration of ProHealth Care’s longstanding commitment to our community.

Evoking nature to promote healing and wellness

Because art enhances and humanizes the health care setting for patients, families, staff and the community — its presence serves as a vital element to our environment. ProHealth Care selected pieces in a variety of mediums that harmonize with the look and feel of the space, and evoke colors and natural elements in the design to help promote healing.
